Coalition Technologies is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Remote PPC / SEM Specialist to support paid search, Google Ads, Bing Ads, Facebook Ads, keyword research, campaign setup, campaign optimization, reporting, and performance analysis for client accounts. This role is ideal for someone with experience managing PPC campaigns, working with large data sets, and using performance metrics to improve ROI.
As a PPC / SEM Specialist, you will help create, analyze, and optimize paid advertising campaigns across multiple industries. You will work closely with the Google Ads Manager, SEO team, and other stakeholders to ensure paid search strategies align with each client’s brand, budget, and marketing goals.
We are looking for talented and diligent candidates who perform well on our skills assessments. Strong skills test performance may be considered even if a candidate does not meet every preferred experience or educational background requirement.

PPC / SEM Specialist Responsibilities
As a PPC / SEM Specialist, your duties will include:
- Conducting keyword research and writing ad copy
- Structuring campaigns and ad groups and determining the best campaign settings
- Working with large Google Ads data sets in Excel
- Uploading data and ad content using Google Ads Editor
- Creating, analyzing, and optimizing Google Ads and Bing Ads campaigns for clients across various industries
- Optimizing Google Ads and Bing Ads campaigns to drive highly targeted traffic to client websites and online stores
- Helping ensure a strong return on investment for each client’s marketing budget
- Consulting regularly with the Google Ads Manager, SEO team, and other stakeholders to align PPC strategies with client goals
- Monitoring campaign performance using reporting tools
- Analyzing campaign metrics and data to provide recommendations for improving performance
- Conducting A/B testing across ads and landing pages
- Reviewing traffic in Google Ads
- Working on Facebook Ads campaigns
- Staying current with Google Ads updates, Bing Ads updates, new technologies, trends, and paid advertising best practices
- Successfully completing Google Ads Certification if not already obtained
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum of 6 months of experience managing SEM or PPC campaigns
- Experience with Google Ads Editor and Bing Ads Editor
- Experience using Google Keyword Planner or other keyword research tools
- Knowledge of account KPI selection, measurement, and reporting
- Ability to work with large Google Ads data sets in Excel, including VLOOKUP and VBA
- Passion for marketing, advertising, and online content development
- Strong research abilities and excellent analytical skills
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet strict deadlines
- Ability to adapt to a diverse and multicultural remote work environment
- Passion for building and growing in a startup-style environment
- Availability to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time
- Reliable remote workstation, including a fast computer, microphone, speakers, reliable internet, and reliable power
Preferred Skills
The following experience is preferred but not required:
- One or more years of professional Google Ads experience
- Google Ads Certification
- Bing Ads experience
- Facebook paid advertising experience
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Gmail, Google Docs, and Basecamp
- Experience with campaign reporting, performance analysis, and ROI optimization
- Experience with A/B testing for ads and landing pages

Compensation
For candidates located in California, New York, Washington, and Colorado, the starting base pay for this position ranges from $15 to $35 per hour.Compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills test performance, geographic location, and seniority of the position offered. For candidates outside of California, New York, Washington, and Colorado, compensation may fall outside the listed range.
