Coalition Technologies is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Remote Motion Graphics Designer / Video Editor to create promotional videos, animated ads, short-form social media videos, and motion graphics for Coalition Technologies and our clients. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in video editing, motion graphics, storytelling, animation, social media content creation, promotional video production, and digital advertising content.

As a Motion Graphics Designer / Video Editor, you will create promotional videos, animated banners, short-form social media videos, text animations, logo animations, character animations, and other motion graphics for videos, websites, emails, and other digital media.

We are looking for talented and diligent candidates who perform well on our skills assessments. Strong skills test performance may be considered even if a candidate does not meet every preferred experience or educational background requirement.

Motion Graphics Designer / Video Editor Responsibilities

As a Motion Graphics Designer / Video Editor, your duties will include:

• Creating promotional videos for Coalition Technologies and our clients
• Creating videos and animated banners for digital advertising campaigns
• Producing short-form videos for Instagram Stories, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and similar platforms
• Creating text animations, logo animations, character animations, and other motion graphics for videos, websites, emails, and other media
• Following creative briefs and working with scripts, design assets, footage, and direction provided by clients and team members
• Developing video concepts, writing scripts, and creating storyboards when needed
• Attending or participating in client meetings
• Working with Digital Producers to plan video and animation strategies that support client goals
• Collaborating with graphic designers, copywriters, PPC specialists, and other teams to establish project vision and creative direction
• Balancing visual appeal with performance needs for advertising, social media, and digital marketing campaigns
• Encoding videos for required formats and uploading them to media platforms or other sources
• Staying current with trends in storytelling, video production, motion graphics, and social media
• Completing projects on schedule while following Coalition Technologies’ methodology and quality standards

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven motion graphics and video editing experience
• Proficiency with video editing software
• Ability to write and produce short-form promotional videos from start to finish
• Familiarity with social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube
• Ability to create videos and animations for digital marketing, advertising, and social media campaigns
• Their own camera, lighting, and space for shooting videos independently
• Ability to record narrations
• Good written and spoken English skills
• Ability to perform well under pressure and meet short deadlines
• Experience presenting materials to clients professionally
• Availability to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time
• Reliable workstation with a fast computer for video editing
• Microphone, speakers, reliable internet, and reliable power

Preferred Skills

The following experience is preferred but not required:

• Experience producing videos and animations for social media and YouTube
• Experience with online advertising
• Graphic design skills
• 3D modeling skills
• Illustration skills
• Experience creating animated ad banners, promotional videos, and short-form social media content
• Experience collaborating with marketing, PPC, design, and copywriting teams

Remote Work Environment

Coalition Technologies is a fully remote company. Our team works remotely with the support of time tracking software, structured communication, and a company culture designed to help remote team members succeed. Compensation

For candidates located in California, New York, Washington, and Colorado, the starting base pay for this position ranges from $17 to $35 per hour. Compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills test performance, geographic location, and seniority of the position offered. For candidates outside of California, New York, Washington, and Colorado, compensation may fall outside the listed range.
