Coalition Technologies is seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Remote Front End Developer to create responsive, pixel-perfect, and high-quality web experiences. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and modern frontend development practices.

As a Front End Developer, you will transform complex design files into clean HTML5/CSS3 templates, create responsive website designs, support frontend development across multiple platforms, and help produce high-quality work for client projects.

We are looking for talented and diligent candidates who perform well on our skills assessments. Strong skills test performance may be considered even if a candidate does not meet every preferred experience or educational background requirement.

Front End Developer Responsibilities

As a Front End Developer, your duties will include:

• Transforming complex layout PSDs into pixel-perfect presentation-layer HTML5/CSS3 templates
• Creating responsive website designs
• Building websites and supporting frontend development across multiple platforms
• Extending and developing themes, plugins, and frontend functionality as needed
• Working with Photoshop, Illustrator, and Fireworks to create images optimized for the web
• Working with version control systems such as Git or SVN
• Working under tight deadlines
• Handling multiple projects at the same time
• Producing high-quality work with a strong focus on detail

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience with modern JavaScript, including ES6+
• Experience using frontend frameworks or libraries such as React, Vue, AngularJS, or similar tools
• Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, and jQuery
• Strong understanding of responsive web design and media queries
• Knowledge of CSS platforms and frameworks such as Bootstrap
• Thorough understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues
• Experience debugging frontend issues using Chrome DevTools, including Console and Network panels
• Experience using AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, OpenAI, Cursor, or similar tools to assist with boilerplate code generation, troubleshooting, and workflow acceleration
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to clearly discuss ideas, technical concepts, and feedback
• Proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative and ownership of your work
• Ability to multitask across multiple projects and priorities
• Strong attention to detail and a highly organized work style
• Positive, upbeat attitude with the ability to learn quickly
• Excellent written and spoken English skills
• Ability to adapt to a diverse and multicultural remote work environment

• Availability to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time
• Reliable remote workstation, including a fast computer, microphone, speakers, reliable internet, and reliable power

Preferred Skills

The following experience is preferred but not required:

• Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, and AJAX
• Experience with WordPress, BigCommerce, Magento, and Shopify
• Experience extending or developing themes, plugins, and frontend functionality
• Experience working with eCommerce websites
• Experience optimizing images and frontend assets for web performance

Remote Work Environment

Coalition Technologies is a fully remote company. Our team works remotely with the support of time tracking software, structured communication, and a company culture designed to help remote team members succeed. Compensation

For candidates located in California, New York, Washington, and Colorado, the starting base pay for this position ranges from $17 to $35 per hour. Compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills test performance, geographic location, and seniority of the position offered. For candidates outside of California, New York, Washington, and Colorado, compensation may fall outside the listed range.
