As a Senior Proposal Writer, you will collaborate closely with a dynamic team of business development professionals and subject matter experts in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. You will lead the creation, organization, and submission of high-quality proposals that effectively communicate our company's capabilities and value propositions to potential clients. Your role involves crafting compelling narratives, managing the proposal development process, and ensuring compliance with client requirements and internal standards. You will analyze RFPs, develop content strategies, and produce detailed, persuasive documents that enhance our chances of winning new business opportunities
What you will do:
- Collaborates with various technical and business stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather the knowledge needed to create required proposal content, as well as other documentation as needed.
- Collaborate with Capture Managers, Solution Architects, Program Managers, and Volume Leads to drive the development of proposal responses and ensure that written responses align with proposal requirements.
- Ensures that proposal content is accurate, complete, meets customer standards, and is compliant with RFP requirements.
- Take ownership of assigned volumes, driving development to meet deadlines and develop quality written responses.
- Actively participate in sessions to articulate solutions, strategies, approaches to performing the work, experiences, win themes, and discriminators.
- Identifies constraints/roadblocks and is able to operate and manage within them.
- Review and edit documents (Microsoft Word and PowerPoint) for formatting, grammar, and quality of responses.
- Incorporate comments from multiple sources into documents and presentations, adjudicate comments from reviewers, and track status of reviewer comments.
- Supports the creation of additional content and copy on an as-needed basis, such as responses to Requests for Information, data calls, BD presentations, and other BD communications.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance proposal quality throughout the Business Area.
What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 6+ years of professional experience.
- Experience creating content and writing proposals in response to Government RFPs, RFQs, and other solicitations.
- Experience working as a technical writer with a basic understanding of proposal responses or experience working as proposal writer responding to Federal Government solicitations with a facility with technical concepts.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and basic understanding of SharePoint repositories.
- Excellent writing, communication and organizational skills.
- Strong work ethic and desire to excel and keep growing over time.
- Ability to demonstrate experience through a portfolio of writing and digital communications work.
- Ability to independently manage and drive content projects and work collaboratively across the company in a detail-oriented and proactive manner.
- NOTE: Must provide writing samples in the job application.

- Ability to manage workload with limited supervision and work as needed to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated eye for detail and visual presentation, with ability to support sourcing and display of graphics, photography, and illustration as part of content production.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently on geographically disparate teams.
- Willingness to support team members and cross-train to provide back-up support.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
